As you climb the stairs, there are historical items and details at each level. You could easily spend an hour just climbing to the top as you pause at each level and read about battleships and items found in and around the Lighthouse. There’s also an amiable staff and information about the Heritage golf tournament, civil war, and Hilton Head history on every floor! It can get crowded since this is a popular area with shops and restaurants, and many would like to visit this structure. There is a gift shop at the base of the Lighthouse and another one at the top.

You can also walk on the pier to get a good view of the Lighthouse from the water, and this is a great place to take pictures. There are a couple of playgrounds for children. The marina is beautiful, especially enjoyed seeing the different boats, yachts, etc. A good place to see the sunset. Also, a great place to get little souvenirs! Ice cream is off the hook. The new quarterdeck restaurant and shops are fantastic, and the food is so tasty.  Learn More about King Neptune Sundial here.
